I am a barrister and Queen’s Counsel based in Auckland. I specialise in contract and commercial law, public law and defamation, although my practice has been wide ranging. I have extensive experience in structural engineering disputes, in part as a result of my appointment as counsel assisting the Royal Commission of Inquiry into the Canterbury Earthquakes, where I led the hearing on the collapse of the CTV Building.
My practice involves both trial and appellate work. I have an LLB (Hons) from the University of Auckland and an LLM from the University of Pennsylvania. I have held academic positions at the following law schools: University of Auckland, Lewis & Clark College, University of Western Ontario and Dalhousie University.
